Hamstring Stretches

1.
  • Lie flat on your back
  • Bend your left knee and bring your knee towards your left nipple
  • Grab your knee with both hands whilst keeping your shoulders on the floor
  • Pull your knee towards your nipple
  • Hold for a slow count of 10
  • Repeat on opposite side
2.
  • Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you
  • Bend forward from the hips and grab your toes
  • Pull your toes toward you without moving your legs
  • If you cannot grab your toes place a towel around your feet and pull back on the towel
  • Hold for a count of 10
3.
  • Lie on your back
  • Bend your left knee and then lift your leg off of the ground
  • Straighten your leg and lift your leg as far back as you can whilst your leg is still straight
  • If you are able to grab your foot and pull it further back whilst your shoulders are still on the ground then do so
  • If you are unable to do this then wrap a towel around your heel and pull the towel towards yourself
  • Hold for a slow count of 10
  • Repeat on opposite side
4.
  • Sit on the floor with both legs out in front of you
  • Bend your right leg and place your right foot in towards your groin
  • Lean forward towards your left leg bending from the hips
  • If you can grab your foot, do so and pull a little harder to intensify the stretch
  • Hold for a count of 10
  • Repeat on opposite side
